Points of Value

Short Definition:

The difference, in points, between the current betting line and what the ShotQualityBets model projects the line to be.

Long Definition:

Points of Value is the difference between what the ShotQualityBets model project the line to be, and what the line actually is. When ShotQualityBets says a team should win by 10, but the line is 5, thats 10-5=5 Points of Value.

To trigger a ShotQualityBets play, the model needs 4 Points of Value for a spread bet and 5 Points of Value for a total bet.

These thresholds have been researched to determine above what values the model is the most reliable and profitable.
